Welcome to the new blog site
I am just copying the recipes from my other blog as that will be deleted soon, if you didn't try them last time, give them a go now : )
Here's a nice easy one you can do with the littlies or big ones, for a nice weekend treat.
Chocolate Crackles
225g (8oz) plain dark chocolate
1 tbsp golden syrup
50g (2oz) dairy free margarine
100g (4oz) Rude Health multi grain flakes
Spread out 12/18 paper cases. Melt chocolate with syrup and margarine in a saucepan over a low heat until melted. Add the flakes and mix well. Fill paper cases and enjoy!
For a non chocolatey treat, try these cereal bars...
Prep Time: 10 minutesTotal Time: 10 minutes
4 cups breakfast cereal, your choice
2 cups quick cooking oats
2/3 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter)
2/3 cup tahini
1 1/2 cups maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ginger (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
In a saucepan or small pot, cream together the peanut butter and tahini until smooth. Add maple syrup and simmer, stirring frequently. Turn off stove and add the remaining ingredients. Spread in greased baking pan and chill until firm. Once they are firm, cut into squares and enjoy!
*Runs off to make treats* yum yum : )
